Kanio Bai Gbala
Kanio Bai Gbala is a full-time Assistant Professor of Law at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia. He teaches Contracts Law, Public International Law, and International Business Transactions.
He is Managing Partner at the Center for Law, Research and Development (CELARD) and Chairperson of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA). He previously served as Vice Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), Country Coordinator of the UN Volunteers Program at UNDP, and held senior roles at DAI, Internews, and Trust Africa.
A certified PRINCE2 Agile project manager and respected public intellectual, he has led governance and rule of law programs across Liberia, Senegal, and Nigeria. He holds an LLB from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, an LLM from Ohio Northern University, and is a 2009 Chevening Fellow and 2021 French-African Foundation Young Leader.
